Real compost in only 48 hours — this is how soilkind combines nature and high-tech

Smarter in 3 minutes? Learn about our soilkind technology at turbo speed and understand how our automatic kitchen composter creates real compost from organic waste in such a short time.

You might ask yourself, "Real compost in only 48 hours? How is that possible?" That's what we asked ourselves, too. About two years ago, we started to develop soilkind with the idea of combining nature and high-tech. This is the essence of soilkind and is part of our unique technology. In three steps, soilkind transforms your organic waste into nutrient-rich compost in just 48 hours. Plus, it’s clean, odorless, and super easy to handle. These are the three steps of our unique soilkind technology:

Step 1: Shredding & drying your kitchen waste

You can fill soilkind with leftovers at any time since soilkind's robust shredding mechanism processes them automatically. The grinder also conquers small bones and nutshells. The subsequent drying process "pauses" the decomposition of microorganisms found in food leftovers so they can be stored inside soilkind without odors almost indefinitely.

Once you have collected enough waste, soilkind works its magic and turns it into real compost.

Step 2: Remineralization & composting

In our composting chamber, we "reawaken” the microorganisms. soilkind's intelligent sensors measure and control the values for temperature, pH, humidity, oxygen quantity, and surface in such a way that the microorganisms are provided with optimal metabolic conditions. In this feel-good atmosphere, they break down the components commonly present in food leftovers (sugar, starch, proteins, and fats) at top speed. Nobody else but us can do this.

Step 3: Enjoying fresh compost

At the end of the process, the organic waste is transformed into valuable humic substances and inorganic minerals — the essence of a genuine, high-quality compost. You simply remove it and give something really good directly to your plants!

With soilkind, you can always use peat-free soil because our compost aerates the soil and provides it with sufficient nutrients. The mixing ratio is 1:10, with 1 part soilkind compost and 10 parts peat-free potting soil.
