17. What can I do if my soilkind displays error code 40?

Error code 40 indicates that the compost was not completely ejected into the compost bin because the compost discharge opening of your soilkind is blocked. A possible cause for this is a high fat content in the compost. Please note that oily waste should not be added to your soilkind, or only in very small quantities, to prevent blockages. To resolve the current problem, please follow the steps below.

1. Remove the compost bin and the water tank from the device.
2. Activate the transport lock
3. Take a photo of the ejection openings with your smartphone to see if both compost ejection openings are blocked.
4. If there is a blockage, carefully loosen it with a screwdriver.
5. Dispose of the fallen compost properly.
6. Check if the blockage has been successfully cleared.
7. Unlock the transport lock again
8. Reinsert the water tank and compost bin into your soilkind.
9. Confirm the cleaning of the ejection openings with the green checkmark. The ejection process will restart.
