06. My soilkind device displays error code 40. What can I do?

The error code 40 indicates that the compost ejection opening of your soilkind device may be clogged. One possible cause could be a high fat content in the compost. Please note that oily waste should not be added to the device, or only in very small quantities, to prevent blockages. To resolve the current issue, please follow the steps below:

  • Remove the compost bin and water tank from the device.
  • Activate the transport lock
  • Take photos of the ejection openings with your smartphone to see if the two compost ejection openings are clogged
  • If there is a blockage, carefully loosen it with a screwdriver
  • Dispose of fallen compost properly.
  • Check if the blockage has been successfully cleared.
  • Unlock the transport lock again.
  • Reinsert the water tank and compost bin into the unit.
