Can I unplug soilkind if I'm away for the weekend or if I go on vacation for a longer period of time?

We recommend not unplugging soilkind, in particular to avoid unpleasant smells. It is important that the organic material in soilkind is continuously processed. If you are absent for a longer period of time, we recommend starting the ejection process. This should be repeated until the upper chamber has also been emptied. This means that at the end there will only be very small amounts of organic material in the device. In addition, the chambers are hygienized by means of temperature so that no further decomposition processes can take place. Please note: If you start the ejection process, no holistic composting process will take place in soilkind. In the compost drawer you will only find dried organic waste, which you can dispose of in regular household waste or the organic waste bin.
