Return of electrical appliances

Would you like to dispose of your old kitchen composter free of charge before purchasing a soilkind device? Here you will find all the information regarding the return process and what you need to keep in mind.

Information on the disposal of electrical and electronic devices

1. Separate collection of waste equipment

Electrical and electronic equipment that has become waste is referred to as waste equipment. Owners of waste equipment must dispose of it separately from unsorted municipal waste. In particular, waste equipment does not belong in household waste, but rather in special collection and return systems.

2. Batteries, accumulators, and lamps

Owners of waste equipment must separate old batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed by the waste equipment, as well as lamps that can be removed from the waste equipment without causing damage, before handing them over to a collection point. This does not apply if the waste equipment is prepared for reuse with the involvement of a public waste management authority.

3. Symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin

The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin on electrical and electronic equipment indicates that the respective device must be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste at the end of its service life.

4. Return options for waste equipment (1:1 and 0:1)

As an online distributor of electrical and electronic equipment subject to take-back obligations, we, soilkind GmbH, are obliged to take back waste equipment free of charge as follows:

  • 1:1 take-back: When supplying a new electrical or electronic device to an end user, we take back an old device of the same type that fulfills essentially the same functions as the new device free of charge at the place of supply or in its immediate vicinity. For large appliances (external dimension > 50 cm), the take-back is carried out via a free pick-up from your location. We will therefore ask you when concluding the purchase contract whether you intend to return a device.
  • 0:1 take-back: We take back waste equipment that is no larger than 25 centimeters in any external dimension free of charge at the request of the end user. The take-back is not linked to the purchase of an electrical or electronic device and is limited to three waste devices per type of equipment.

We comply with these obligations listed above. You can arrange a pick-up or return of your old device via the following link: https://www.soilkind.com/pages/elektrogeraeteruecknahme. For any questions, you can also contact our service hotline.

5. Data protection notice

We advise all end users of waste electrical equipment that you are solely responsible for deleting personal data from the waste equipment to be disposed of.
